For some, it may be painful to actually watch Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
But the family behind this reality show experienced pain of a literal kind last night: they were involved in a car accident.
According to TMZ, Alana Thompson herself, Mama June, Pumpkin and Jessica were all passengers in a car driven by Sugar Bear.
They were waiting to turn left at a traffic light. And when it turned green, a man driving a truck ran his red light and hit the family's vehicle.
Family members were taken to the hospital, with Sugar Bear suffering a contusion on his back... Mama June also hurting her back... Honey Boo Boo getting a headache... and Pumpkin walking away with chest bruises.
The new season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo kicks off on January 16. We hope the family is feeling better by then.
UPDATE: Says June in a statement:
"As many of you have heard we were in a car accident last night. It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin's birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes."
